  • Business West's Quarterly Economic SurveyAccess the latest Quarterly Economic Survey results for the South West, compiled by Business West. The Business West quarterly survey provides a regular assessment on the economic situation of local business and is a valuable source of intelligence for businesses, politicians and policy makers. On a national level, results from the survey feed into the British Chambers quarterly survey, recognised as the largest and most representative independent business survey. There were 537 responses to this quarter's survey - an increase of over 200 from the last survey. 24 April 2013
  • PMI Report highlights decline in business activity for second successive monthBusiness activity in the South West private sector declined for the second successive month in March. However, the rate of reduction was fractional. New business also fell for the second month in a row, and at a modest pace. Backlogs of work declined solidly, while staff numbers fell only marginally.   • House Price Index, March 2013
    The Office for National Statistics (ONS) House Price Index, previously published by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is a monthly release that publishes figures for mix-adjusted average house prices and house price indices for the UK and its component countries and regions. All tables transferred from the DCLG to ONS can be accessed via the reference tables that are available in the data section of this release. 21 May 2013

  • 2011 Census latest findings
    Today the Office for National Statistics (ONS) publishes new findings from the 2011 Census, which expand on previously published statistics. These give users the opportunity to glean richer, more 'three-dimensional' insights into detailed characteristics of the population. The tables provide details down to local authority and regional level in England and Wales. They offer more informative characteristics relating to: unpaid care, health, migration, ethnic group, national identity, religion... 16 May 2013

    This bulletin, 2011 Census Detailed Characteristics for England and Wales, supplements the release of the Key Statistics in December 2012 and Quick Statistics in January 2013. It presents findings for England and Wales drawn from the first release of detailed Characteristics tables that provide cross tabulations of two or more topics from the census.
