This bulletin presents the South West's latest projections for the regional economy - based on the median UK forecast form the HM Treasury survey of independent forecasts.
The results suggest a sluggish period ahead, especially in the near term with, if anything, the structural pattern of development within the region, as revealed by history, evolving further as relative weaknesses and strengths, by sector and place, are likely to be reinforced by any economic rebalancing that is achieved. Sadly, we do not believe SW England is in a relatively strong position to achieve sustained economic rebalancing.
An interactive Excel table is available alongside the bulletin. This provides an interface where you can compare Gross Value Added and number of workers (full-time equivalents) between sectors and sub-regions.
