South West Growth Scenarios (2010-2030)
This suite of three South West Growth Scenarios sets out the parameters of reasonable expectations for the South West economy over the next twenty years, exploring how these play out across the region.
The scale and nature of future economic growth in the region will be driven to a very large degree by what is happening in the United Kingdom and in the wider world. Jointly commissioned by the South West RDA and South West Councils, this research from Oxford Economics aims to use this wider understanding to help partners across South West England to establish a strong economic framework for the strategic analysis needed to both plan and deliver future local (and regional) economic development.
Ranging from optimistic to pessimistic, South West Growth Scenarios sets out the impact of three potential alternate outcomes for the South West for the period 2010 to 2030 and explores these at a regional and sub-regional level, as well as discussing the macro-economic background. The report is accompanied by a comprehensive database for sub-regions and local areas within South West England.
